Omar Fernández receives 75% positive approval in Gallup survey

Santo Domingo.- A recent Gallup-RCC Media survey shows that Senator Omar Fernández enjoys a 75% positive approval rating among the population. Of those surveyed, 67.9% rated his image as very good or good, while 7.1% considered it average. Meanwhile, 12.0% held a negative opinion, and 12.8% either did not know him or did not respond.

With nearly five years in Congress, Fernández stands out as the most highly regarded opposition figure. In the last elections, he won the senatorial race in the capital with 56.20% of the vote, surpassing the ruling party’s candidate, Guillermo Moreno, by more than 16 points. Among political figures, he ranks ahead of ruling party members Raquel Peña and Carolina Mejía, while Abel Martínez and Leonel Fernández trail him by 13 and 16 points, respectively.

The survey, conducted for RCC Media, included face-to-face interviews with 1,200 citizens and has a margin of error of ±2.8 percentage points.
