David Collado leads presidential poll with 54.2% support, according to Gallup

Santo Domingo.- A recent Gallup poll indicates that David Collado, representing the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), would secure victory in the presidential elections with 54.2% of the vote. His closest competitor, Leonel Fernández of Fuerza del Pueblo, holds 26.4%, while Abel Martínez of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) trails at 14%.

The survey also explored potential PRM primary matchups, where Collado emerged as the dominant candidate. He leads Carolina Mejía 65.2% to 24.9%, Raquel Peña 69.6% to 20.3%, Wellington Arnaud 80.7% to 7.1%, and Eduardo “Yayo” Sanz Lovatón 83.0% to 4.4%.

Conducted from February 14 to 18, 2025, the poll included 1,200 face-to-face interviews, using 2022 census data from the National Statistics Office (ONE). The results have a margin of error of ±2.8%, with a confidence level of 95%.
