Dominican and Spanish Interior Ministers discuss security cooperation

Madrid, Spain.- Dominican Minister of the Interior and Police, Faride Raful, met with her Spanish counterpart, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, to exchange strategies on public order, citizen security, and social coexistence.

The meeting focused on sharing experiences in crime prevention, police management, and international cooperation, aiming to enhance institutional capabilities in both countries. Raful also formally invited Grande-Marlaska to attend the Eighth Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Public Security in the Americas (MISPA VIII), set for July 16–17 in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

Both officials expressed their commitment to advancing a cooperation agreement to strengthen bilateral ties, particularly in the fight against transnational crime and the promotion of public safety.
