Indomet monitors tropical wave

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Meteorological Institute (Indomet) is currently monitoring a tropical wave associated with a low-pressure system located about 1,440 kilometers east-southeast of the Lesser Antilles.

The system is moving west/northwest at a speed of approximately 24 km/h and has a 20% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours or over the next seven days. At this time, it does not pose any immediate threat to the Dominican Republic, but Indomet advises the public to stay updated through official weather reports.
