Russia eyes charter flights to Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo.- Héctor Porcella, president of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), announced that Russian airlines are interested in resuming charter flights to the Dominican Republic, particularly to Punta Cana. Although the carriers are equipped and prepared, the restart of operations hinges on a high-level political and diplomatic agreement.
Porcella also revealed that Air France plans to resume its Paris–Dominican Republic route by early 2026, despite the earlier withdrawal of French airlines from the country. He emphasized that the Dominican Republic maintains air agreements with over 70 countries, with the United States standing out as a key partner due to its role as both the primary source of tourists and the nation’s main trading ally.

Bring back the Russian tourists. Great people who love the Latin culture.
