Tropical storm Dexter poses no threat to the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Meteorological Institute (Indomet) reported on Monday that Tropical Storm Dexter is currently located about 415 kilometers northwest of Bermuda, with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h, moving east/northeast at 19 km/h. Due to its distance and trajectory, the storm does not pose a threat to the Dominican Republic.

Indomet is also tracking a tropical wave expected to move off the west coast of Africa within the next two days. The probability of cyclone development is currently 0% over the next 48 hours and 50% over the next 7 days.

Additionally, a broad low-pressure system is forecast to form off the southeastern U.S. coast, with a 30% chance of cyclone formation over the next week. Indomet confirmed that none of these systems present any danger to the country at this time.
