The government delivers 70 homes to families in Kosovo, in Imbert
Puerto Plata.- After 10 years of waiting, those evicted from the Maggiolo de Cofresí area in Puerto Plata have decent shelter.
President Luis Abinader delivered 70 homes this Saturday in the housing complex in the Kosovo sector, benefiting more than 250 people.
The homes are divided into 35 duplexes, totaling 70 units with an area of approximately 60 square meters. They are built of cement and block, at the entrance to the highway that connects the municipalities of Luperón and Imbert, near the community of Saballo.
These houses, built by the Ministry of Public Works and Municipalities (MOPC) on land belonging to the State Sugar Council (CEA), will house people who private developers evicted from land located near the municipal landfill.
President inaugurates two modern educational centers.
In a firm commitment to strengthening public education, Abinader led the inauguration of two new schools in the province of Puerto Plata: the Saballo Elementary School and the Vuelta Larga Elementary School. These projects represent a significant step in the Government’s commitment to educational development and the improvement of school infrastructure nationwide.
Oscar Amargós, Deputy Minister of Supervision and Quality Control at the Ministry of Education, stated that both schools will open up a more equitable future for children living in the area and ensure the right to education. He also believed the president is committed to advancing education.
Saballo Elementary School
This school has a capacity for 735 students and has a total investment of RD$109,089,230.55. The educational center has 21 classrooms in total: 16 standard, two initial, and two special.
Vuelta Larga Elementary School
This school was built in the community of Vuelta Larga with an investment of RD$58,505,624.08. It has a capacity to serve 350 students and consists of 12 classrooms: 10 standard and one initial.
Both schools also have a library, a multipurpose room, a teachers’ lounge and guidance office, services such as a nurse’s office, a kitchen, a dining room and restrooms, outdoor recreational areas, children’s playgrounds, green areas, and a civic plaza.
With these inaugurations, President Abinader reaffirms his commitment to a dignified, inclusive, and quality education, providing hundreds of children in Puerto Plata with adequate spaces for their academic and personal development.

What do you want the houses to have jacuzzis and helicopter landings on the roof ? . If he does not give out apartments he is a horrible prez and if he gives out apartments its not enough .
