Puerto Plata hosts first “Distinguished Man Drive” celebrating classic cars

Puerto Plata.- For the first time, Puerto Plata hosted the “Distinguished Man Drive Puerto Plata 2025,” an event celebrating classic cars, style, and tradition. Organized by the Victrola Classic Car Puerto Plata Club in collaboration with tourism and cultural partners, the initiative brought together car enthusiasts and distinguished gentlemen in a showcase of elegance and heritage.

The event featured 40 meticulously preserved classic vehicles touring the Malecón and the Historic Center, with stops at iconic sites such as the San Felipe Fortress, the Macoríx House of Rum, and the Amber Museum. Participating clubs included Santiago Classic Car, Mercedes Benz Cibao Club, and Victrola Classic Car Club, complemented by networking opportunities and discussions on men’s health, particularly prostate cancer prevention.

Miguel Isaac Ramírez Casado, president of the organizing committee, emphasized that the “Distinguished Man Drive” aims to become an annual highlight, attracting national and international visitors. The event, which featured a Vintage Tropical dress code, celebrated Puerto Plata’s cultural identity, Victorian architecture, and potential as a luxury destination that combines history, lifestyle, and tourism.
