PCT urges UN to demand end to U.S. blockade against Cuba
Santo Domingo.- The Communist Labor Party (PCT) urged the United Nations (UN) to firmly and urgently demand an end to the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.
In an official statement, the PCT emphasized the need for continued international diplomatic pressure to dismantle the embargo, which has been repeatedly condemned by the UN General Assembly.
PCT Secretary General Manuel Salazar declared that “Cuba is not alone,” describing the blockade as a violation of international law and the human rights of the Cuban people. He added that most nations recognize the harm caused by this unilateral policy.
Reaffirming its “unwavering solidarity” with the Cuban people and government, the PCT called on the UN to adopt stronger measures to safeguard Cuba’s sovereignty and promote its full social and economic development.

Communist is the operative word. They will NOT make demands of a free nation.
