Several undocumented Haitians injured in accident in Dajabón

Several undocumented Haitians were injured during an accident in the vehicle in which they were traveling illegally, an incident that is under investigation by the authorities.

The accident occurred at the intersection of the municipal district of Santiago de la Cruz in the province of Dajabón, at a time when military personnel were allegedly pursuing the vehicle with the undocumented immigrants.

The injured Haitians were taken to the Matías Ramón Mella hospital, where they are receiving medical assistance for the blows and wounds they sustained.

A source told this outlet that the driver of the SUV fled the scene at the time of the incident, so authorities are working to identify and capture the fugitive.
