Dominican Consulate in Boston hosts first gathering with Dominican students

Boston, Massachusetts.- The Consulate General of the Dominican Republic in Boston, led by Consul General Antonio Almonte, held its first meeting with Dominican students studying at universities across the New England region, aiming to strengthen ties between young Dominicans abroad and their consular representation.

The event brought together dozens of students from prestigious institutions such as Harvard, MIT, Northeastern, Boston University, Berklee College of Music, and UMass Boston. It served as a space for connection, networking, and sharing academic and professional experiences while celebrating Dominican culture through music and traditional cuisine.

Vice President Raquel Peña joined the meeting virtually, congratulating the students for representing the Dominican Republic with excellence and encouraging them to continue studying with passion while staying connected to their roots.

The Consulate reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting Dominican youth in New England through programs that promote academic growth, cultural identity, and leadership, consolidating the community’s contribution to the nation’s development.
