800,000 Canadian tourists visit Dominican Republic a year
Santo Domingo.– A total of 800,000 tourists arrive each year in the Dominican Republic, according to data released Friday by Canadian Embassy commercial attaché Aladin Legault.
According to the statement, Legault also highlighted the good trade relations with the Dominican Republic, and considered the country as the most important partner in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Legault also explained that Canada is Dominican Republic’s second largest market in terms of tourism.
On the other hand, he pointed out that the Dominican population in Canada is over 30,000, while the number of Canadian residents in the country is around 6,000.
