Opposition’s lies will not change the decision of Dominicans: Danilo Medina

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina, who is running for re-election, pointed out that lies will not change the decision of the Dominican people to vote massively in the upcoming May 15 elections.

Medina said the opposition has created a media candidate and "new measurements are repeatedly invented with the failed purpose of showing the electorate that there will be a runoff election."

The head of state said he will win in the first round and added that a recent comprehensive survey gives him a lead of nearly 30 points, with 61 percent of voting intention, just 12 weeks before the end of the campaign.

"If we do not make mistakes, there is no way that could change. But, just in case, I want to warn you: that percentage represents today, the vote is on May 15," he stressed during the inauguration of the Advance With Danilo movement and urged everyone to work for the nomination.
