12th annual Spring Shootout tournament returns to Teeth of the Dog links in April
La Romana, D.R.- Casade Campo Resort & Villas has announced that it will be hostingits 12th annual Spring Shootout Golf Tournament onits legendary Teeth of the Dog golf course from April 13-17,2016. The tournament has become one of the most highly anticipatedspring events in the Caribbean. Tournament packages start from$1,730.00 USD.
The Spring Shootout is a 54-hole stroke play championshipwith five flights for the men and three flights for the ladies with gross andnet divisions within the flights. Flights are determined according tohandicaps. A minimum of 20 percent of the players in each flight, includingthe net and gross winners, will compete in a shootout.

The 2016 Spring Shootout packages include: four-nightaccommodations with room rates starting from $1,730.00 USDper person for double occupancy in the Pete Dye Lodge and $1,846.00 perperson in the Elite guestroom category; breakfast,lunch, dinner daily with no surcharge; unlimited drinks in all hotel bars,restaurants, oasis bars; carts on the golf courses for the guest’s entirestay; a welcome dinner and awards banquet; unlimited green fees, carts, rangeballs, and club storage; and tournament entry fees, favors, and prizes. Groundtransportation from all three area airports (LRM, PJU, SDQ) is also includedin the package rate, which is a savings of over $100.00 USD perperson. Golf is unlimited to all tournament participants.
Prizes will be awarded in net and gross divisions, dailylow and for the shootout. The resort is also holding a drawing featuring four$500.00 gift certificates valid toward package costs forthe 35th Anniversary Celebration of the Casa de Campo Open inSeptember 2016.

About Teeth of the Dog:
Opened in 1971 and renovated in 2005, Teeth of the Dog isone of four Pete Dye’s designs at the Casa de Campo resort at La Romana onthe southeast coast, and was the first Dominican Republic course to use the seato dramatic effect, putting it on the global golfing map. Its name derives fromthe jagged rock formations jutting into the Caribbean on which Dye placed teesand greens. Three of its four par-3 holes play over waves to the greens.
