TSA confirms Punta Cana Airport meets international aviation security standards

Punta Cana.- The U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has completed a technical inspection of Punta Cana International Airport (MDPC) and reported full compliance with international civil aviation security standards, without issuing any observations or findings.

The evaluation, conducted between April 19 and May 23, 2025, reviewed key aspects of airport security such as access control, passenger and cargo screening, aircraft protection, and perimeter security. TSA officials praised the professionalism of the staff and the maturity of the airport’s security system.

The inspection concluded with a ceremony attended by TSA representatives and national security authorities. Officials highlighted this outcome as evidence of the Dominican Republic’s commitment to aviation safety, positioning Punta Cana as a regional leader in airport security best practices and reinforcing confidence among international partners.
