Dominican Rep. Jazz Fest closes 5-city romp

Dominican Republic Jazz Festival

Santo Domingo.- The 21st Dominican Republic Jazz Festival successfully concluded a vibrant five-city concert tour of the island with acclaimed, international artists.
Thousands of audience members attended each show in Santo Domingo, Santiago, Sosua, Puerto Plata and Cabarete, held from October 29 – November 5, 2017, and enjoyed the spectacular outdoor events held on starlit evenings under a full moon, with live music, culture, and often dancing.

 

The Dominican Republic Jazz Festival concluded in Cabarete Beach, with a concert dedicated to three nations: Puerto Rico, Italy and the Dominican Republic, and was a mix of musical influences which included jazz and Latin jazz from performers Marco Pignataro, George Garzone, William Cepeda, and typical merengue from famed Dominican performer Fefita la Grande.

The Festival is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Jet Blue, Brugal, Berklee Global Jazz Institute, United States Embassy, Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resorts, Sea Horse Ranch, Cibao Recycler, Casa Linda, and Gratereaux Delva y Assoc.
