UK Envoy, Central Banker talk economy, Brexit, scholarships
Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic Central banker Hector Valdez Albizu on Tuesday receivedBritish ambassador, Christopher Campbell, to discuss issues of interest to bothnations.
At the meeting attended by ambassador MiguelReyes and Central Bank Monetary Policy deputy manager Joel Tejeda, Campbell andValdez discussed Brexit and its consequences for the global economy, especiallyUK-Dominican Republic trade.
The two officials also discussed the detailsof the conference which Valdez will host in England in November, invited by theBank of England.
Also discussed was the possibility ofextending the Central Bank’s scholarship program in English universities, to benefitmore students.
