Dominican Agro Market sales jump 400% to +US$30M

Santo Domingo.- Since 2014 sales in Mercadom (Dominican Agro Market) have jumped more than 400%, from RD$1.2 billion to over RD$6.0 billion (US$30 million) to 2019.

“In the last five years of operation of Merca Santo Domingo, its sales have been increased year after year, registering in 2018 a total value of RD$5.9 million in the sales of the different lines sold by producers, wholesalers, and the agribusinesses that operate in it,” Mercadom administrator Claudio Jiménez, told Diario Libre.

He said Mercadom customers acquire fresh produce in an “environment of hygiene, safety, and savings of approximately 40% on their purchases.”
