Most of the country can expect scattered showers, strong winds

SANTO DOMINGO. – The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts scattered showers with strong wind gusts from the northeast over a large part of the country starting today and until mid week.

It said all regions can expect showers today, except the east and northwest, with seasonably cool temperatures.

Onamet also warns small craft to remain close to the coast because of the winds and strong waves. Greater Santo Domingo can expect mostly clear skies, with light showers increasing in the afternoon.
