Honduras, Dom. Rep. will fight drug trafficking jointly

TEGUCIGALPA. – Dominican Republic’s Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) director and Honduras’ Attorney General on Wednesday signed an agreement to cooperate in the war on drug trafficking.

DNCD president Rolando Rosado, accompanied by several senior Armed Forces and Police officers visited the Honduras capital for a four-day workshop.

Rosado and his companions met with Honduras antinarcotics agency (DLCN) director Isaac Ramon Santos and Attorney General Luis Alberto Rubi, according to statement issued by both countries.

"The agreement establishes the importance of joint cooperation between the two institutions, in all matters relating to combating the problem of abuse and illicit drug trafficking, a criminal activity arising from transfer of substances narcotic in all its forms,” the statement said.
