“I’m worth more than $300M,” says ruling party’s richest member
New York.- Dominican Republic’s Insurance Superintendent on Wednesday said he’s worth over RD$300 million and not the RD$271.3 million reported by newspaper Diario Libre.
Euclides Gutierrez Felix’s statement was in response to the report on the senior members of the country’s ruling PLD party titled "the PLD’s Political Committee: A select and exclusive group of 27 millionaires."
"I haven’t seen what you’ve said, but I’m worth more than $300 million," said the member of the PLD Political Committee, historian and veteran politico when asked if the figures published were correct. "I don’t hide what I have and I have said that I inherited my father’s properties."
He added that he has properties in Montecristi, Jarabacoa and where he lives now, and more than six hectares in the city of Santo Domingo. "That’s worth a lot of money, isn’t it?"
