President Medina meets with Japanese senators

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina met Monday with a delegation of Japanese senators to discuss the lasting and strong ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

According to the Presidency Website, the visitors discussed projects that are currently being implemented across the country with Japanese funding, such as a chocolate-making initiative in Altamira, Puerto Plata, and a school donated by the Japanese government.

Dominican deputy foreign minister Jose Manuel Trullols and Dominican representative in the OAS Pedro Vergés accompanied President Medina. The Japanese delegation was headed by Yusuke Nakanishi, and included senators and top officials from the Japanese government.
