FILE. The Dominican Navy onWednesday morning recovered the bodies of three women whodrowned after a yola capsized off the coast of Samana (northeast) with nine peopleon board.

Navy spokesman Arsenio Maldonado identified thedead as Karla Mabel Reyes, Rosanna Vargas and Cecilia Vargas.

He said Ruth Capellan survived the incident bymanaging to swimming to shore, while the captain of the 18 foot long boat isrecovering in a hospital in the area, as yet identified.
