Widow warns Medina: Make no mistake with my husband’s killer
Santo Domingo.- The widow of slain former SantoDomingo State University (UASD) rector MateoAquino on Monday warned that "powerful hands" are behind the transferto a minimum security jail of truckers’union boss Blas Peralta, who was indicted in the murder.
"I don’t think that a measure of thisnature was taken at random, there were powerful hands," said the widow RitaSolis.
She cautioned president Danilo Medina "notto make a mistake" when allowing his officials to do things that will thenjeopardize him.
"I saying to president Danilo please don’tmake a mistake that will damage your government doing things that will revert overyou. I don’t know if he (Medina) authorized it, but I have a question markbecause not just anyone would take such a measure," she said.
Interviewed on CRC Channel 37 along with her lawyerLuis Parra, Solis added that will meet at noon today with Justice minister JeanAlain Rodriguez, who called on her to deliver all documents regarding Peralta’stransfer.
