Din, packed courtroom postpone hearing against ‘country’s owners’

Santo Domingo.- A packed courtroom and the noiseoutside the Superior Administrative Tribunal building prompted a change ofvenue for the hearing on the request for an injunction filed by the National BusinessCouncil (CONEP) against several government agencies which allegedly permit a monopolyin the transport sector.

The justices ruled for continuance and set Nov.28 for the next hearing in the antitrust lawsuit filed by CONEP, which allegesthat the truck and bus owners associations, known as the "country’s owners," impose a monopoly in the transportsector

The justices set the next hearing for Nov. 28at 2pm in the National District 2nd Civil and Commercial Chamber, in the old SupremeCourt building.
