Espaillat cites priorities, accomplishments in annual address
Press Release
New York, NY – This week, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) provided an overview of his legislative priorities, agenda for the 116th Congress, and record accomplishments on behalf of New York’s 13th congressional district during this year’s State of the District event held on Tuesday evening at the Our Children’s Foundation, Inc. This year marked Rep. Espaillat’s third annual State of the District address since he was sworn into Congress in 2017.
“Throughout my tenure in public service, I have long championed issues critical to working- and middle-class New Yorkers and have remained vocal on a number of issues facing our community. The need for immediate and effective investments in affordable housing, infrastructure improvements, expanded programs and educational opportunities for youth, and ensuring the American dream remains viable for all individuals regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status or nation of birth – remain among my top priorities and are critical to the legislation that I put forth in Congress,” said Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13).
“Each year, I am delighted to present in great detail my legislative achievements in Washington on behalf of my constituents and to have the opportunity to discuss my priorities during the 116th Congress. I value the engagement of my constituency and believe it is important that they have a full understanding of my legislative efforts as well as the impact that my work in Washington directly has on residents and families throughout our community and the nation.”
