The Coordinator of the Health Sector Guilds (CONASALUD) marched yesterday to the National Palace to demand that the Government start the strategy of primary care through the first level of care.
The march left from the 27 de Febrero avenue to Dr. Delgado, until reaching the Government Palace, where nurses and health workers delivered a document containing their demands.
The protest of the health workers was led by the coordinator and spokesperson, Rafaela Figueroa, who, together with activists of the cause, demanded that the Government make the corresponding investments in health matters.
For trade unionists, it is not good for the health and social security system to be left behind and people only having a card in a symbolic way.
They requested that the implementation of the primary health care strategy is carried out and that the health system function in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic.
“We are opposed to the exclusion of first level of care benefits.”
