Onamet forecasts rains for this Saturday

The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reported that the trough would continue this Saturday over the Dominican territory. Therefore, there will be favorable conditions for the rains to continue.

From the morning hours, downpours with thunderstorms and wind gusts will be observed in the provinces of La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, La Romana, San Pedro de Macoris, and Monte Plata.

In the afternoon, these precipitations are expected to spread to other areas. They could be heavy and accompanied by possible hail towards towns in the northwest, north, southeast, Cibao Valley, and the Central Cordillera, with a gradual decrease in rainfall activity expected in the evening hours.

Sunday will be with scattered clouds and isolated showers in the morning hours, and from midday, the effects of the trough will be favoring again increases in cloudiness, accompanied by downpours, thundershowers, and possible wind gusts until the early hours of the day in provinces of the northwest, north, southeast, Central Cordillera and border area, which will be present until the early hours of the night.

In Greater Santo Domingo, the maximum temperature will range between 29°C and 31°C and the minimum between 21°C and 23°C.
