Inmates graduate from university programs

Santo Domingo.- Twelve inmates from seven correctional facilities proudly received their diplomas upon completing university courses offered through agreements with the Open University for Adults (UAPA).

According to a statement, ten incarcerated individuals earned bachelor’s degrees, while two attained master’s degrees. These educational programs were conducted within the correctional facilities using virtual platforms, enabling access to higher education for the participants.

The graduation ceremony took place on Saturday at the events hall of the Port of Sans Souci terminal. Among the graduates were two women and ten men. Six of them pursued studies in Law, four in Psychology, one in Accounting, and one in Marketing.
