JCE will issue duplicate of identity cards at no cost

Santo Domingo.- The Central Electoral Board (JCE) announces that it will offer free duplicate identity and electoral cards starting from Wednesday, May 1, to May 16, 2024.

According to the electoral and Civil Status office, this service will be accessible on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, at regular identification centers. Additionally, ID issuing centers located in shopping malls and at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) will provide these services during their regular operating hours.

This initiative comes ahead of the presidential and congressional elections scheduled for Sunday, May 19 of this year.
