Fitram announces tender for Santo Domingo West cable car construction

Santo Domingo.- The Trust for the Development of the Mass Transportation System of the Dominican Republic (Fitram) has announced a national public tender for the construction of the Santo Domingo West cable car.

Published on Monday, May 27, 2024, the tender will cover the design, manufacturing, construction, assembly, and commissioning of line 3 of the aerial cable system for public passenger transportation in Santo Domingo West.

The proposed line 3 of the Fitram cable car will connect kilometer 9 of the Duarte highway with the Buenos Aires de Herrera sectors, the Pintura corner on 27 de Febrero Avenue, and the La Altagracia expansion. The second stage will extend to El Café de Herrera, Carretera Sánchez, and Kilometer 12 of Haina.
