16 injured in multi-vehicle accident on Duarte Highway

Monseñor Nouel.- A traffic accident involving five vehicles, including a bus and a pickup truck, occurred on the Duarte Highway near the El Setenta y Siete sector in Piedra Blanca, leaving 16 people injured. According to the National Emergency and Security System 911, two of the injured required transfer to nearby health centers, while the rest were treated on-site.

The emergency response included two ambulances from the Directorate of Extra-hospital Emergency Services (DAEH), units from the National Police, DIGESETT, the Bonao Fire Department, and the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).

The 911 System commended the rapid response of the teams and reminded citizens to make way for emergency vehicles to ensure swift assistance in similar incidents.
