DNA test excludes Abel Martínez as biological father

Santo Domingo.- A DNA test has confirmed that Abel Martínez, former presidential candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and ex-mayor of Santiago, is not the biological father of a minor whose mother, Keire Vargas, had claimed paternity. The test, conducted in a U.S. laboratory chosen by the plaintiff, conclusively disproved the claim.

Martínez’s legal team emphasized his transparent and responsible approach throughout the process, prioritizing the well-being of the child despite the lack of evidence over the years. In a statement, they highlighted Martínez’s ethical commitment and adherence to legal procedures, expressing hope that the resolution would allow all parties to move forward in peace and harmony.

Martínez extended gratitude to Yan Carlos Martínez Segura, the opposing party’s representative, for his professional and conciliatory conduct. The Court reaffirmed its respect for the privacy of minors and commitment to justice and integrity. Martínez also thanked the public for their support and expressed a desire for all involved to move forward with dignity and tranquility.
