Dominican Agrobusiness showcases T-50 drone for agricultural efficiency

Santiago, DR.- The Dominican Agrobusiness Board (JAD), DRfromSky, and Skyagro unveiled the T-50 drone on Thursday at a banana farm in La Canela, Santiago, as part of a strategic alliance aimed at enhancing agricultural practices. The T-50 drone is designed to optimize crop monitoring, precise input application, and real-time data collection, offering significant improvements in productivity and sustainability within the sector.

This demonstration was organized by the Center for Agro-business Information and Innovation (Ciiagro) of the JAD and provided an opportunity to explore the benefits of this advanced technology. The drone’s capabilities include minimizing environmental impact by applying agrochemicals only where needed, which also reduces costs for producers.
