New details of the explosion in Sosua: Not a propane tank explosion

SOSUA, Puerto Plata:- An intense explosion of unknown origin leveled a law office located in the El Batey sector, Sosúa, in the early hours of Monday, leaving the owner injured, vehicles with broken windows, and creating a collective panic in the surroundings where this event occurred.

The victim was Lisa Ewest, a German-nationalized Dominican, who was taken to a health center due to the burns and injuries she received during the explosion.

According to neighbors who reside on the main street of the El Batey sector, the event occurred at about 8:00 a.m., and many of them left their residences due to the loud noise caused by the explosion.

Other people who were passing by suffered minor injuries as a result of the shrapnel in the windows of the vehicles that were hit when the explosion occurred.

Authorities and investigators of the National Police assigned to the command in Sosúa arrived at the scene of the tragedy; emergency units of the 9.1.1. system, the Municipal Fire Department, and other relief agencies that offered first aid to those affected.

At first, it was thought that a liquefied gas tank in the lawyer’s office had exploded, but it was later proven that this explosion had an unknown origin. The police and fire authorities in Sosúa are investigating this situation.

Attorney Ewest specializes in land litigation. It was even reported that she is currently handling several cases in the courts of the judicial district of Puerto Plata.

Are you saying it is not a gas explosion, but it is somehow “unknown”? What else explodes in Sosua? There are many hundreds of gas explosions each year. The results are highly similar.

If not propane then it had to be Methane gas
