Truck loses brakes and crashes into house in Navarrete

Navarrete, DR.- A truck carrying cement lost its brakes and crashed into a house on the Navarrete highway, located between Altamira and Puerto Plata, on Friday.

According to the Trafico Expreso website, the accident resulted in two fatalities and left two others injured.

Local residents quickly rushed to the scene to assist the victims. Traffic in both directions was heavily congested for several minutes following the incident.
