Tour operators support security measures for vehicle rentals at AILA

Santo Domingo.- The Association of Incoming Tour Operators of the East (ASOTURE) and the Association of Tour Operators of the Dominican Republic (OPETUR) have expressed full support for Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom) in its efforts to enhance control and organization at the Las Américas International Airport (AILA-JFPG).

Both organizations commend Aerodom and relevant authorities for addressing the presence of unauthorized car rental operators, emphasizing that these actions are essential to ensuring a safe, orderly, and high-quality environment for travelers. They also highlight the importance of maintaining the Dominican Republic’s reputation as a premier tourist destination.

ASOTURE and OPETUR reaffirm their commitment to compliance with Law No. 188-11 on Airport and Civil Aviation Security and the National Civil Aviation Security Program. They stress that formalizing and regulating tourism services not only enhances the traveler experience but also promotes fair competition within the sector.
