Haiti border under strict surveillance: what you need to know

The Minister of Defense of the Dominican Republic, Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, assured that the border with Haiti is under strict surveillance at each strategic point, with the Army prepared for any eventuality.
During a tour of the border area in Pedernales, Fernández Onofre supervised the wall and the division with Haiti, accompanied by the Army’s Commander General, Major General Jorge Iván Caminó Pérez. He stressed that security at the border is reinforced by the wall’s construction and a military fort equipped with advanced technology and drones, operational 24 hours a day.
The minister announced that the second phase of the border wall on the Northwest Line will begin in April. He also reported that more than 52 kilometers of the perimeter fence along the entire border line with Haiti are ready for inauguration.
sealing the border with these ‘people’ will help in protecting the country but even further and better would be to not allow them to come to DR to give birth then claim to be Dominicans. Let them do that in their great nation of HA iti.
Strict surveillance, technology, drones, walls, are catch words used years on end to describe vigilance associated with the border. If the words were accumulated to form a wall, it would be higher than the existing wall. The border is a sieve under the umbrella of the mafias.
Words do nothing other than give the media something to publish.
