Abinader to lead civic-military parade for Battle of Azua anniversary

Azua.- President Luis Abinader will preside over the civic-military parade this Wednesday in Azua, marking the 181st anniversary of the Battle of March 19, the first conflict in defense of Dominican sovereignty. The event is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.

Following the parade, Abinader will inaugurate a covered stadium and a soccer field in Sabana Yegua, promoting physical, emotional, and social development for local youth.

Later, in Baní, Peravia province, the president will oversee the reopening of the reconstructed Nuestra Señora de Regla Municipal Hospital, reinforcing the country’s healthcare system and ensuring quality medical services for the community.
