BiggerPresident Abinader congratulates Ecuador’s Daniel Noboa on election victory
Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader extended his congratulations to Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa following his runoff election win with 56.13% of the vote. In a message shared on X, Abinader praised the peaceful and civic nature of the electoral process, which saw participation from over 80% of Ecuadorian voters.
Abinader also highlighted the presence of respected international observers, underscoring the transparency and legitimacy of the election. Noboa, of the National Democratic Action (ADN) party, defeated Luisa González of the Citizen Revolution party, who received 43.87% of the vote, according to Ecuador’s National Electoral Council (CNE).
Daniel Noboa officially became Ecuador’s president on November 23, 2023, making history as the country’s youngest democratically elected leader at just 35 years old.
