President Abinader honors forensic team for Jet Set tragedy response

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader publicly recognized the outstanding work of 71 forensic pathologists who helped identify victims of the Jet Set nightclub tragedy, calling their contribution “historic” and vital in bringing closure to grieving families. The tribute took place at the National Palace, where Abinader praised the team’s tireless efforts and efficiency in completing the identifications in record time.

The president personally thanked the forensic doctors, acknowledging that some had been unable to attend earlier celebrations due to their duties. He emphasized the importance of their role and expressed his deep appreciation for their dedication during one of the country’s most difficult moments.

Abinader also announced that the government is considering improvements to strengthen the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) and Forensic Pathology. Highlighting the tragedy’s national and international impact, he noted support and praise from figures like Spain’s King Felipe VI and businessman Michael Bloomberg, who were impressed by the swift response led by Dominican professionals.

How much longer until we have Dominican “justice”???? Does the island of corruption have the balls to give out a slap on the wrist after 235 deaths??? Will the public accept it??? They are very mistaken if they think they can wait and forget about this crisis.
