Abinader announces upcoming visit of Jordan’s King to the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader revealed that King Abdullah II of Jordan will visit the Dominican Republic in September, ahead of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The announcement was made during his regular press briefing, La Semanal con la Prensa.

Abinader emphasized the Jordanian monarch’s interest in strengthening ties with the Caribbean region. He noted that Jordan, a key exporter of phosphate, is looking to enhance cooperation with the Dominican Republic in that sector.

The visit follows a previous bilateral meeting between Abinader and King Abdullah II, where both leaders discussed issues of mutual interest and explored opportunities to deepen collaboration between their countries.
