Dominican ambassador presents credentials to Saudi Crown Prince in Riyadh
Riyadh.- Andy Rodríguez Durán, the Dominican Republic’s first resident ambassador to Saudi Arabia, also accredited to Oman, Bahrain, and Djibouti, presented his credentials to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in a ceremony at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh. Rodríguez Durán conveyed President Luis Abinader’s greetings and emphasized the country’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and friendship with the Kingdom.
The Crown Prince welcomed the ambassadors and shared the greetings of King Salman, wishing them success in their diplomatic missions to enhance bilateral relations. Since arriving in Riyadh in March 2024, Ambassador Rodríguez Durán has pursued a proactive agenda, holding high-level meetings with Saudi authorities to promote tourism, foreign investment, and commercial and cultural exchanges.
Aligned with President Abinader’s foreign policy and Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez’s directives, Rodríguez Durán’s work aims to position the Dominican Republic as an active partner in the Middle East, deepening diplomatic and economic ties.
