Labor, management to talk wage review next week
Santo Domingo.- The National Salary Committee (CNS) on Monday called for labor and management representatives to meet Thursday next week to review the national minimum wage, which hasn’t been raised since 2013.
CNS director Felix Hidalgo said the meeting in the Labor Ministry will start 9:30am.
In a statement, the official said he received last week the names of the delegates and of employers and proceeded the next day to notify the parties on the meeting’s date.
“The revision of the minimum wage requires the participation of employers, workers and the state as arbiter, considering capital of the production companies involved and the current economic reality,” the statement said.
