Pedro the Great joins Dominican Dandy in Cooperstown Sunday

Santo Domingo.- Sunday will be a glorious day not only for Pedro Martinez but also for the great Juan Marichal, who finally have the company he always wanted in the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, N.Y.

Martinez, a 3-time Cy Young Award winner gets his niche Sunday in the the famous museum a in upstate New York.

"We waited a lot but from Sunday on I’ll no longer be alone," said Marichal interviewed by elcaribe.com.do.

"It was something we had awaited with joy, with much expectation. I know how happy he is, his wife and family and I know that all Dominicans are very happy with the arrival of this day," added the San Francisco Giants’ ‘Dominican Dandy.
