State bank recruits families in riverbank cleanup

Santo Domingo.- The Reservas Bank Volunteers, through its Life Program, has benefited in the last three years 132,603 families that participated in the collection of nearly 1,000 tons of plastic waste on the banks of the Ozama and Yaque del Norte rivers.

Volunteers President Jacqueline Ortiz de Lizardo said that the program seeks to foster a culture of respect for the environment, stimulate entrepreneurship and a community work ethic, “as well as contribute to the sustainable development of promoting recycling in our country.”
