Arajet and Tourism Minister announce new direct flight from Córdoba to Punta Cana

Santo Domingo.- Tourism Minister David Collado and national airline Arajet unveiled a new direct air route connecting Córdoba, Argentina, with Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This milestone reinforces the Dominican Republic’s status as a prime Caribbean destination for Argentine travelers and strengthens its position as a key air hub for the Americas.

Arajet becomes the first international airline to offer direct flights between Córdoba and Punta Cana, providing affordable and convenient access for tourists eager to experience the country’s beaches, culture, and hospitality. Flights will go on sale July 1 and begin operations November 8, 2025, with an initial schedule of three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Additionally, Arajet will resume Buenos Aires–Santo Domingo flights twice weekly starting December 12, 2025, and increase Buenos Aires–Punta Cana service to 13 weekly flights. By the end of 2025, Arajet will operate 18 weekly flights between Argentina and the Dominican Republic, marking a historic expansion of direct connectivity.

Minister Collado highlighted Argentina as the third-largest source of tourists to the Dominican Republic—after the U.S. and Canada—with arrivals expected to double in 2025 due to increased flight frequencies and new routes like Córdoba.
