Cesac strengthens its airport security strategy

The Specialized Airport and Civil Aviation Security Corps (CESAC) is carrying out a strategic program, developed in coordination with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Dominican Republic, to provide integrity and awareness training for Airport Security Services at the country’s airports.

The initiative represents a decisive step toward strengthening institutional integrity, preventing criminal infiltration, and protecting the airport logistics system through an inter-institutional cooperation and international best practices approach.

Furthermore, the joint effort will allow us to continue strengthening our response to emerging threats, promote ethical decision-making, and increase confidence in airport services.

The event was led by Brigadier General Enmanuel Souffront Tamayo, Director General of Cesac; Frank Keurhorst, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; and Manuel de Js. Gómez Portorreal, Director of ESAC; Dionisio de la Rosa Hernández, Deputy Director General of Cesac; and Joyce Thani, Police Liaison Officer of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Souffront Tamayo highlighted the importance of this training day, stating that “this training is part of our efforts to consolidate a robust, reliable operating environment aligned with international standards, strengthening risk management and raising the culture of integrity in our airports.”

The training brings together representatives from Cesac, the General Directorate of Customs ( DGA ), and the General Directorate of Migration ( DGM ).
