The Dominican Republic aims to attract more than 10 million visitors by November 2025

Tourism in the Dominican Republic is projected to close the year 2025 with the arrival of around 11.7 million visitors, who will generate benefits exceeding $12 billion. Last November 26, it already accumulated visits from tourists and cruise passengers exceeding 10 million, when the high winter season was beginning.

This was reported by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, through his social media.

“We reached 10 million visitors before the end of the year! We did it again. We are progressing at a historic pace,” he posted.

He stated, “The goal that seemed like a dream just five years ago is now a reality in record time! By the end of 2023, we reached this goal: to surpass 10 million tourists. As of today, we have already exceeded 10,000,000 visitors.”

“This success is felt in every corner of the country, allowing for job creation, benefits, macroeconomic stability, local production, a secure future, and investment,” the official said.

He explained that, “it affects more than 800,000 employees in tourism, agriculture, the food industry, furniture, chemicals, and other sectors, and impacts all areas of the country: Constanza, La Vega, Hato Mayor, San Juan, and all the provinces. Small business owners in transportation, commerce, and restaurants also feel it every day.”
