If the Dominican Republic has it all, DR can do it all!

The Dominican Republic has shown its resilience as a tourist destination, overcoming several situations that have tested its strength. The biggest example is the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although the country is a world leader in managing the pandemic that has paralysed tourism worldwide, other situations continue to arise in the Caribbean destination.

The case of the disappearance of the American tourist of Indian origin, Sudiksha Konanki, is an isolated event that should not affect the national and international image of the safety of the Dominican vacation segment, as it is a strange and unfortunate (still unsolved) event that is unprecedented.

If the DR has it all, it can handle anything! Without minimizing the situation, in this recent and unfortunate case, the actors in the sector must unite to raise the sails again amid this “small” wreck. A ship floats when the buoyancy force is more significant than its weight, as does tourism in the DR.
